DESCRIPTION:The CBLP-Shorelines certificate course is a multi-day interactive workshop delivered in a hybrid format that combines online and classroom learning with field work. Participants will explore site analysis tools and complete a field-based site assessment\, apply site data to living shoreline design projects\, and complete Joint Permit Applications (JPA) for a Virginia general permit 1 or 2 project. Attendees receive instruction on living shoreline construction\, adaptive management\, typical maintenance tasks\, and maintenance plan development. Individuals pursuing the CBLP-Shorelines certificate will be required to attend a living shoreline installation practicum at a professionally managed living shoreline installation project upon completion of this workshop. \nThis is a professional development workshop designed for existing CBLPs and professionals working along the shoreline who want to add Living Shoreline Services to their business offerings.
