Level 1

Level 1 Training Package – $425

(Required for certification; Includes one 2-day class, webinar series, CBLP Maintenance Manual, and exam)

Charlottesville, VA – July 9-10, 2018

Washington, DC – September 20-21, 2018

9:00 AM – 4:00 PM each day

One 2-day class is required. Before signing up for a class, you must submit an online application. Once application is approved, please return to the website to pay and choose your class.

Each class, led by regional experts, incorporates classroom work with a field-based practicum and BMP inspection/verification training. CBLP emphasizes critical thinking, interactive learning, and collaborative practice.

You may take the class and sit for the exam in any location.

Discounts are available for firms or organizations that send 3 or more staff. Please contact to inquire.

Winter 2018-19 Level 1 dates will be announced by October.

CEUs are available from: Association of Professional Landscape Designers, International Society of Arboriculture, Maryland Nursery Landscape and Greenhouse Association, Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association, Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association, Virginia Society of Landscape Designers, Virginia Urban Nutrient Managers, Virginia DEQ Stormwater Inspectors.

Charlottesville, VA – Wednesday, August 22, 9 AM – 12 PM

State College, PA – Thursday, September 6, 9 AM – 12 PM

Richmond, VA – Monday, September 10, 9 AM – 12 PM

Washington, DC – Thursday, October 11, 9 AM – 12 PM

Virginia Beach, VA – Thursday, January 17, 2019, 5:30 – 8:30 PM

CBLP Level 1 candidates may take the exam in any location once they have completed training.  Candidates will sign up for the exam after training.

Level 2

Level 2 is an advanced credential in design or installation of stormwater BMPs. You must be a CBLP Level 1-certified professional to enroll in the 3-day Level 2 Intensive Seminar.
