Hands On CEU Opportunties in PA

For new CBLP pros looking for ways to log your “hands on” CEUs, or those who’d like to learn more about buffers, get outdoors during Riparian Buffer Month!  Use the links below to register for each event.

• Saturday, October 8, 9 AM- Noon, Middletown- Riparian Buffer Planting and Maintenance
  Greening the Lower Susquehanna is partnering with Lower Swatara Township to maintain one of their riparian buffers and to expand it by planting additional trees on the site. Register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/volunteer-riparian-buffer-planting-and-maintenance-tickets-418223266047.
• Tuesday, October 18, morning, New Providence- Riparian Buffer Planting
  The Lancaster County Conservation District is in need of help planting almost 400 trees following a stream restoration project. If you are available for this weekday planting, please reach out to Tyler Keefer at tylerkeefer@lancasterconservation.org.
• Saturday, October 22, 9 AM- Noon, Hummelstown- Riparian Buffer Replant

The Hershey Free Church installed this streamside tree planting several years ago. While some of the trees did really well and are growing tall, some of the previously planted trees didn’t make it and need replanted. • October 28-29, 24-Hours, Various Locations

Have you ever wanted to plant a tree in the middle of the night? Here is your chance! The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay is hosting a tree planting relay they are calling Treelay.
