Today’s Menu: Planting for Pollinators

During this lunch time webinar Emily Wine will  discuss bee behavior, preferences, and interactions with native plants. Participants will develop a better understanding of what to plant and how to maintain landscapes to benefit pollinators.

Emily Wine is the State Apiarist with the Delaware Department of Agriculture. Her interest in bees began as an undergrad at Cornell University, where she joined the Beekeeping Club. She did her master’s degree in Entomology at Washington State University, where she studied habitat for the bees that pollinate alfalfa grown for seed. As State Apiarist, she works to safeguard Delaware’s pollinators.
