Webinar: Designing a Downtown Fit for Trees

Penn State Extension Community Forestry Management Monthly Webinar Series

Growing trees in a downtown commercial setting can be a major challenge when you consider they need room to grow (including rooting space); not block signs, delivery trucks or pedestrians; must tolerate salt and heat; and can’t make a mess by dropping fruit or flowers. Join the webinar and learn how good design, site preparation, and species selection can solve many of those issues without resorting to planting plastic trees in your downtown.

Continuing Education Credits: One Continuing Education Credit for Landscape Architects; Society of American Foresters (CFEs); and PLNA Certified Horticulturalist (PCH) will be offered to attendees. One CEU for International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborists will be awarded with 80% or higher score on webinar quiz. Certificates of attendance will be provided after the program.
