What is a Green Infrastructure Certification?

CBLP is a voluntary, sustainable landscape certification program for those who design, install, and maintain native landscapes throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

Our training emphasizes conservation landscaping, stormwater management, and the use of native plants to reduce runoff, sediment, and nutrient pollution—while improving community spaces and supporting ecosystem health.

CBLP is administered by the Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council (CCLC) and led by a network of educators, conservationists, and technical experts across the region.

CBLP has had an immensely positive impact on my work here at the city. Not only is it a great organization and resource – it’s also a platform for collaboration, networking, problem-solving, and peer learning.
