March 17-18, Baltimore, MD

CBLP Level 1 is the foundational training for professionals seeking practical, science-based knowledge in sustainable landscaping and green infrastructure. This in-person course focuses on the design, installation, and maintenance of stormwater best management practices (BMPs), combining expert-led classroom instruction with real-world, field-based learning. Participants gain critical thinking skills and a stronger understanding of how landscape practices support watershed health and ecological function.

This course is ideal for landscape architects and designers, contractors, arborists, engineers, planners, horticulturists, grounds managers, and other professionals working in landscaping, stormwater management, urban forestry, or environmental fields. Level 1 serves as the baseline credential for the CBLP program and is a valuable step for those looking to strengthen their skills, meet professional development goals, or advance toward Level 2 certification.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are offered through the American Society of Landscape Architects (LA CES), Association of Professional Landscape Designers, Delaware Nursery and Landscape Association, Delaware Urban Nutrient Managers, International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), Maryland Nursery Landscape and Greenhouse Association, Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association, Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association, and the Virginia Society of Landscape Designers.
