Oyster Catcher Construction | Nassawadox, VA | all times 12:30-3:30 | 10 volunteers needed each day to mix concrete and roll burlap/jute through the concrete. Volunteers will be lifting 10-15 lbs. Wear old clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. The work will take place at the Brownsville Shop near the office in Nassawadox.

Oyster Castle/Catcher Installation| Wachapreague, VA | 12 volunteers needed each day for moving and assembling oyster castle blocks to build functional oyster habitat that will be capable of keeping up with sea level rise. We need volunteers to move and arrange 30 lb. oyster castles pieces for 3 hours. Volunteers will spend the day outside, on the water, in varying depths. Wearing waders is recommended. Old shoes you don’t mind getting wet & muddy could also work.
