The Times They Are A’Changin’: Threats to Maryland’s Native Plant Communities

Co-sponsored by the Department of Geography and Environmental Systems at University of Maryland Baltimore County and the Mid-Atlantic Invasive Plant Council

This year’s conference will highlight two of the major threats to Maryland’s natural communities — invasive species and climate change — and remind us that, without intervention, our native biota will continue to decline and disappear. Speakers will address these threats, as well as actions that could reduce them. In addition, we will celebrate our native plants and communities with field trips to remarkable natural areas in the region.
