MNLGA Field Day

The program will feature:
- Welcome and Introduction by Steve Black (MNLGA President) and Craig Ruppert and Kelly Lewis of Ruppert Nurseries
- Early Morning Discussion Program – Including updates from Deputy Secretary Jim Eichorst, Kimberly Rice (MDA), Craig Regelbrugge (AmericanHort), Dean Craig Beyrouty (UMD AGNR), and the one and only “Bug Guy” Mike Raupp!
- Mid-Morning Interactive Stations hosted by UMD Extension
- Stations will include: Making a Habitat for Beneficial Insects; Compost: An Ammendment for Healthy Soils; Cover Crops in Nurseries: The Pros and Cons; and Drone Monitoring, Invasive Species, Disease Updates, and Insect Problems Galore!
- Early Afternoon Tours of Ruppert Nurseries Including a field farm tour of the Ruppert Nursery operation, a liner planting and soil prep demonstration, and digging demos using the Ruppert 100″ tree spade
- Ruppert Hosted Happy Hour! Join your colleagues after Field Day wraps up with a great happy hour including music hosted by Ruppert.
