New Directions in the American Landscape

January 11, 2018 - January 12, 2018

Save the date for this great winter conference!

New Directions in the American Landscape (NDAL) advances the art and science of natural landscape design by collaborating with design, horticulture, and environmental organizations across the United States to provide innovative, high-quality programming for landscape practitioners. NDAL’s forums explore issues and techniques relating to the design, implementation, and management of landscapes based on natural models.

Founded by Larry Weaner in 1990, NDAL partners with the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania and the Connecticut College Arboretum on an annual symposium for landscape professionals.

This two- day program has developed a dedicated following within the professional landscape community and has featured many of the leading figures of contemporary landscape design. To express the importance of interdisciplinary interaction, the series has also presented experts from related fields including ecology, architecture, history, anthropology, photography and art.
