Designing Green Roof Habitats in Cities
February 7, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
FreeWith hundreds of thousands of square feet developed in Washington, DC alone, green roofs are emerging as a new form of wildlife habitat in cities. From planted sedum and wildflowers, to volunteer seedlings and pollinators—and even families of ducks, a variety of species are making green roofs their home. For people too, green roofs offer a new opportunity to engage with the natural world. Join the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and Biophilic DC as we explore emerging design practices and issues related to this new and unique urban habitat.
CBLP Level 1 Instructor, Rebecca Stack, is one of the panelists.
Admission is free, but you must register in advance.
