Webinar: AWE’s Outdoor Water Savings Research Initiative: Accelerating the Landscape Transformation

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) WaterSense^® program and the Alliance for Water Efficiency invite you to join a free webinar, Accelerating the Landscape Transformation.

As indoor water use continues to drop, the conservation community must turn our full attention to the next untapped opportunity for water savings – outdoor water use efficiency programs. Mary Ann Dickinson, President and CEO of the Alliance for Water Efficiency, and project team members Dr. Thomas Chesnutt (A&N Technical Services, Inc.) and Maureen Erbeznik (Maureen Erbeznik & Associates) will present on the Alliance’s forthcoming Landscape Transformation study. This study, the first research product of AWE’s Outdoor Water Savings Research Initiative, represents the most expansive and diverse assessment of utility outdoor programs to date. The presentation will share findings from an Impact Analysis conducted of utility program data from municipalities throughout the United States and Canada and a Process Evaluation consisting of customer surveys, interviews, and market analysis. Water managers, irrigation professionals, and anyone involved in residential landscape management will leave with critical insights to design utility programs that successfully accelerate our transition from high-water use landscape designs to sustainable landscapes that support homeowner goals, community water objectives, and healthy watersheds.
