Taking Root: Training Environmental Educators to Champion Native Gardens

As interest in replacing turf with native plant gardens continues to grow, Friends of Norfolk’s Environment is offering a training session designed to help environmental educators and community leaders support homeowners through the transition.

Participants will learn how to address common questions and concerns about converting lawns to native landscapes and will leave with practical resources and strategies to help communities embrace the turf-to-native movement.

Light refreshments and time for networking will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to support Royster’s food pantry. Space is limited, so advance registration is recommended.
