FOLAR Invasive Plant Management Training
Why remove invasive plants? They have few or no predators, while our native plants have native insects and animals that use them as food resources. In their original landscapes, plants develop adaptations to their surroundings which may become like superpowers when they are transplanted to other places in the world. These advantages over native species can cause plant takeovers – damaging our ecosystems! Want to learn more, and how you can help control invasive plants?
FOLAR is offering our first annual Invasive Plant Management Training at the Appomattox River Center in Petersburg. In this training, you’ll gain the knowledge and skills to effectively identify and control invasive plant species. You’ll learn about the ecological impacts of invasive plants, control methods, and best practices for developing and implementing management plans.
